I honestly can't remember which filters i had screwed onto the lens that night...i went through many possibly
I know i've been taking a lot of city shots lately but im trying to learn the ins and outs of night cityscape photography. I really like the fence in this one.... it leaves the picture open to possibilities
**I readjusted the levels slightly because i realised on my monitior they looked ok, but on a non-rubbish monitor is was slightly dark**
hey, i like this one; The fence in it reminds me of those ads a long time ago where they fenced off all the rivers and beaches so no one would drown. I got the message, but it always made me think they were saying "we dont trust you to make your own decisions, so we have taken the choice away" kind of like Brave New World where no one is allowed original thought, and the masses are controlled to the extreem by the governments... and this shot is (to me anyways) reminiscent of the same message.
You've read A Brave New World? Another Aldous Huxley reader Very cool.
Again, i like your interpretation...
Though perhaps in my picture its not the river that thay are trying to keep the masses from... i think its rather the city itself....
but i'll save the philosophical discourse for another time

this shot rocks. and the fence looks soo much better in the night lighting than it ever possibly could in the day. it just works! what i love, and didn't notice on the night.. is those three little lights contrasted against the mass of lights of the city... Brisbane looks beautiful.

I love the crispness you have been getting with your city scapes. To be honest I never have been a big fan of city shots but I enjoy yours a fair bit more than most.
pretty sweet.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
